She is a North Carolina native, growing up in the suburbs of Charlotte, NC.
She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age and always found opportunities to interact with animals before she was able to convince her parents to get pets of their own. She first started working in the veterinary field as soon as she was old enough which happened to be the day after her 18th birthday. Since then, she has had many years of experience as a veterinary assistant before attending NC State for both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees. Her professional interests include surgery, dentistry, dermatology, and ophthalmology.
She lives in Durham with her husband Max and two rescue dogs Kovu - a hound mix and Pico -a chihuahua mix. Her hobbies include watching movies, reading, and finding new local restaurants.
