Canine Influenza Virus – Dog Flu

Canine influenza virus, or “dog flu”, is a contagious virus that can be spread in social situations or where dogs congregate, like boarding, grooming, doggie-day cares, training classes and urban locations. Click here for our full client letter.
There are 2 strains to this virus, H3N8 and H3N2. We now carry the vaccination protecting against BOTH strains, which is the recommended protocol for any dog that would be involved in any of the above situations. This virus can cause severe sickness and sadly, even fatal conditions like pneumonia.
There have been positive cases for both strains in North Carolina.
Please call us today to set up an appointment for your dog to be protected against this virus.

We will be having vaccination clinics at both our Mebane and Hillsborough locations – check back here or our Facebook page for the most recent announcements.
